Okay...how slow did the day seem to go by at work today? Isn't that always the case when a three-day weekend is staring you in the face? I was blessed to be able to stop by a church rummage sale in West Los Angeles, run by these adorable and sweet ladies. I came away with a box piled high with all kinds of vintage goodies that'll take me a while to go through, photograph and get up on the store site, but I can't wait to get to it!
My top find of the day were these vintage paper coasters. I just grabbed the box without going through it, and when I got home was delighted by the beautiful designs I found. Here are my favorites:
I also walked away with a stack of beautiful vintage scarves...
And — something I actually get to keep — an orange puff pillow. I've been hunting for a pair of these for a while now. This one didn't have a mate, but I snagged it anyway. Just need to sew a button in the middle on each side.
If you find some time on your hands this weekend, get out there and see what's rummaging around your neighborhood. It's a perfect weekend to do some DIY projects you've had sitting on the shelf!
