I know my thrift hauls of late have been a little lacking. I mentioned a couple weeks ago that I'm trying to ease up on it a bit for now, and I can assure you I have a very good reason for it (an exciting one) that I hope to share with you soon.
But enough being vague (it's such a frustrating thing...).
This past weekend, while running errands, I had about 30 minutes to kill and meandered over to the Goodwill on Bayless to see what I could see. I can't say this has been a fruitful spot for me in the past, but this trip turned up lots of vintage housewares — unfortunately most of them were a little too pricey for me. I did, however, discover an abandoned piece of Flameware. It's one of the sauce pots, and is without its lid, but you can get replacement ones on eBay for a reasonable price, so I went for it.
You might also remember that I have a niece and a to-be-found-out niece/nephew on the way, and it's definitely made me notice baby clothes more while I'm out thrifting. So after the housewares section, I wandered over to the racks filled with things for the wee ones and found these ridiculously adorable vintage pieces...
I am dying over the little giraffe dress...it even has little pockets sewn above the word! I sense a new obsession coming on, so I'm already preparing myself to perhaps have a little ones section in the store once it's updated, so be on the lookout! :)
How about you? Find any goodies this weekend?
