Vintage Love :: MaxiMidia Retro Future Social Media Ads

Last week I was lost in the sea of inspiration that is Pinterest, when what I thought was an old television add popped up in my feed. Never one to ignore a blast from the printed past, I clicked through, only to discover it was an ad for Skype!

Wait...what?

Indeed, an ad agency in Sao Paulo, Brazil, called Moma Propaganda created a whole set of social media ads, combining the futuristic flair of the '60s in a classic illustrated ad...and I love them!

They've even set up a site where you can download free poster-size hi-res versions of the ads to print and hang up at home. (I love the tag line for the YouTube one...a handy reminder that your films will last forever, people...)

Kinds makes you wonder what it'll be like when these things actually are archaic, huh?

  2. Very cute ads! I can just imagine my son when he grows up saying that he remembers the good old days, before there was a YouTube. :)
